Kind words from past students

"The SafePartum instructors are excellent. I appreciate the experts taking the time to educate those of us in the community. I really hope SafePartum has more educational opportunities in the future!"

"Thank you for the workbook. It was so helpful to have topic summaries to refer to. It was well designed and contained a lot of info!"

Neuraxial Ultrasound

Do any of these sound familiar?

• Your epidurals and spinals are not 100% reliable.

• You are uncomfortable with advanced neuraxial techniques.

• You have to pass challenging procedures off to someone with more advanced skills, such as neuraxial ultrasound.

• You are not confident in your ability to quickly assess, troubleshoot and make decisions about underperforming blocks.

• You feel self conscious over wet taps, failed or inadequate blocks, and postpartum complications.

• L&D feels overwhelming and stressful.

Instead, imagine how it would feel to…

Meet Dr. Mahendra

Hello, and welcome to the OB Anesthesia Accelerator Course! My name is Vibha Mahendra, and I'm an Obstetric Anesthesiologist based in Southern California.

I completed medical school at Stanford University School of Medicine and Anesthesia Residency and Obstetric Anesthesia Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine & Texas Children's Hospital.

I actively practice Obstetric Anesthesia in Los Angeles and Orange County, CA, and am thrilled to be the primary instructor for the OBAA Course. I founded SafePartum and SafePartum Academy in 2021 to be able to share experience and evidence-based best practices with other practitioners of OB Anesthesia around the world.

I am so glad you are here, and look forward to helping you achieve your professional and clinical goals in the practice of OB Anesthesia!

Our Unique Framework

Introducing the SafePartum Sequence

Bilateral, low maintenance epidural and spinal blocks should be the norm, not the exception. Though OB Anesthesia is so much more than just neuraxial, mastery of clinical OB Anesthesia practices hinges on the ability to place reliable, high quality neuraxial blocks every single time.

What if we helped you expand your toolkit so that you could guarantee success of the vast majority of blocks?

In OBAA, we'll teach you the SafePartum Sequence, our signature path to mastery of the most important skills required to practice OB Anesthesia:

  • High quality neuraxial
  • Low complication rates
  • Rapid assessment and resolution of suboptimal blocks
  • Management of OB Anesthesia complications
  • Confidence managing L&D Emergencies
